5 August 2023 – The Journey Begins…..

After ruining my nails having them professionally manicured and polished, my nails were lifting from the nail bed, they were weak and very thin. Various products were used over the years including, Builder In A Bottle and various other Gel and Acrylic substances. Then I discovered Sistaco; in fact, my daughter discovered it, did my nails and now I have my own kit.

Even on my first attempt I managed to get a fairly decent manicure and the desired effect. You may wonder what is different about this product? It is a powder, not a polish. It is so easy to do and easy to remove. The advantages of doing your own nails include, no travel costs, so more time to yourself, no costs for the nail professionals time and expertise and one big advantage? If you break or damage a nail, you can repair it quickly and easily. You can also change your nail colour as often as you wish.

My first colour which my daughter did for me was Flamingo a holographic powder; it gives a lovely sparkle. It stayed on twelve days and would have lasted much longer, but my own products arrived and I wanted to try something else.

.

Reluctantly I removed Flamingo, quite an easy task as long as you follow the instructions and then I chose Rose Gold another holographic powder. I did both thumbs; I was not sure I wanted all my nails the same, so I did my ring fingers with Rose Gold. Then I used Peru, also a holographic powder on the other nails. I do love the sparkle and although not perfect, it is not too bad for a first attempt.

Of course, there are disadvantages, the cost of the kit to begin, but for less than £100 you get six colours of your own choice and all the basic things you need to get started. The box at the bottom of the next picture is the starter kit. I also bought a case; the extra powders and brushes are shown between the case and the box. You can also buy extra colours at £14 a pot, which the experts at Sistaco say give you enough powder for thirty, yes thirty, manicures. At over £30 or more every three weeks for a professional manicure, that is definitely a bargain. I also bought some extra items, but the cost will be offset, in less than six months by not using the salon professional.

Sistaco Mineral Bond are based in Australia, so the products take a couple of weeks to arrive, but they are well worth waiting for.
